A spacious promenade runs east-west along the bank and forms a base level at a height of +3.5 meters. This means it is above the average flood level. The edge, which is designed for a hundred-year flood, is different in the different areas. In the area of the private villas, the area develops over a green embankment to the promenade at +3.5m. Stepped wall panels made of natural stone mark the flood protection line. The upper edge of the 1.5 meter high walls is at +5.0m. The steps create rest areas on the promenade which invite you to linger. The private villas are elevated above the public open space. Due to the flood protection along the promenade and the bulkheads in the area of the canals, the area of the villas could also be lower if desired. Curved bridges lead over the canals. The seating steps in the bank zone with the reed belt in front invite you to linger. The promenade widens out and becomes a square. The 50cm raised grove of trees provides shade and houses small pavilions. From the north, you enter the square through the large gate. From the observation tower of the jetty, you have a view of the offshore archipelago.
