Buildings and landscape are seen as one continuous composition. The vivid oscillation of the roofs proceeds in the modelling of the landscape. Boundaries between inside and outside are flowing and rather perceptible. The bosky back of the mountain becomes part of the tropical house. The lake catches its reflection in itself and transforms to a tropical waterscape. The tree layer of the cloud houses continues in the surface broaching. Transparent walls and roofs create borders without separating. Every single garden tells its own story. In the desert house, with meagre soil and stones, the beginning of the earth is shown. The event house makes you walk through the forest of the semi-tropics on a footbridge in the treetops. The troublesome cultivation of landscape through thousands of years of work is shown in the next house. The tropical house places a picture of fantastic primeval forests, which are at risk. Flora and fauna will be seen and its great variety of natural symbiotic communities can be sensed. Like in the classical Chinese estate, houses are grouping around an open court. The design of the inner garden courtyard stands for the traditional art of Chinese gardens. It is the centre of the site. This is where people can meet and visit the surrounding houses. The significance of the sustainable usage of our living space, which can be experienced in all houses, is realised by thoroughly drafted energy and water preservation as well as broad recycling.
